Appropriately Staff Zero Waste Efforts

Develop Scenarios for Converting the UI Fleet to Renewable Fuels

The 2015 iCAP, chapter 4, objective 3 is "Conduct a detailed study by the end of FY17 to develop scenarios for complete conversion of the campus fleet to renewable fuels." Bicycle Programs and Infrastructure Fee

This is a student initiated fee made up of $1 per semester per student which amounts to approximately $85,000 a year for bicycle infrastructure and programming. The projects are managed by the Transportation Demand Management Coordinator at Facilities & Services with funding allocations being approved annually by the Student Fee Advisory Committee (SFAC).

Bicycle Programs and Infrastructure Fee, also known as Bike Fee, started in FY17. This fee is renewed every four years.

Illini Gadget Garage

The Illini Gadget Garage was a collaboration of the Sustainable Electronics Initiative (SEI) at the Illinois Sustainable Technology Center (ISTC), the UI School of Art and Design, and the School of Information Science (The iSchool at Illinois). Staff from all these units provided support and guidance, while ISTC coordinated efforts and administers seed funding granted by the Student Sustainability Committee and external donations.
