This is the default layout most projects will use.

People, Prosperity and the Planet (P3) Student Design Competition

The P3 Award competition is a two-phase team contest that addresses challenges related to sustainability and the Environment. The first phase consists of interdisciplinary student teams competing for $15,000 grants.  Recipients use the money to research and develop their design projects during the academic year. The final projects include a Phase I project report and a Phase II proposal.

Water Research Grants

EPA funds water research grants to develop and support the science and tools necessary to develop sustainable solutions to 21st century water resource problems, ensuring water quality and availability in order to protect human and ecosystem health. 

Air Research Grants

EPA supports air pollution research through research grants in three broad areas:

  • Measuring air pollution exposure and effects in humans and ecosystems.
  • Delivering innovative tools and technologies to reduce and prevent harmful emissions.
  • Delivering modeling, monitoring, measurement metrics and critical science information to make decisions regarding air quality to protect public health and the environment.

Healthy Habits: Timing for Developing Sustainable Healthy Behaviors in Children and Adolescents

This program encourages applications that employ innovative research to identify mechanisms of influence and/or promote positive sustainable health behavior(s) in children and youth. Applications to promote positive health behavior(s) should target social and cultural factors, including, but not limited to: schools, families, communities, population, food industry, age-appropriate learning tools and games, social media, social networking, technology and mass media.

Office of behavioral and social sciences research

The missions of the office is to Enhance the impact of health-related behavioral and social sciences research, coordinate behavioral and social sciences research conducted or supported by the NIH, integrate these sciences within the larger NIH research enterprise,  and Communicate health-related behavioral and social sciences research findings to various stakeholders within and outside the federal government
